Dressage whip

It is an instrument which, like most percussion instruments, leaves marks on the body. The piercing sound it makes when swung is hard to mistake for anything else, and the pain on impact is quite sharp.

The handle is made of slightly textured rubber, ensuring a comfortable grip and preventing it from slipping out of your hand. The gradual tapering of the whip from the handle to the tip, together with the whip’s length and material, ensures perfect flexibility in the final third and perfect stability in the other two-thirds, starting from the handle. The whip is very easy to handle and, thanks to its weight, does not place a physical strain on the user. However, even with the whip’s good manoeuvrability, a degree of skill and, above all, the aforementioned caution is required to prevent unwanted injury or the leaving of unwanted marks on the body. It is important to bear in mind that the whip’s tip strikes further than the end of the whip itself, and thus usually leaves marks on the side of the thigh.
